Allen Roster Update for Idaho Trip, Americans Weekly and Historical Record When Scoring First

 

Not much new this morning but wanted to share the latest information I have regarding the roster status as the team leaves for Boise tonight. I wrote yesterday in could be a roster feast or famine as the Americans head to Idaho for three games, depending on the status of players who are out of the lineup because of injury and COVID protocol. It looks like it will be more famine than feast as of this morning but everything is not set in stone.

 

- I will have a complete game preview tomorrow as the Americans prepare to play the Steelheads on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday with all games beginning at 8:10 pm CST. 

 

- Here is the tentative Allen travel roster for the trip to Idaho. The team doesn't leave until tonight so there could be changes as the day progresses. COVID testing and medical assessments continue. Per coach Martinson, players that will not make the road trip include Roy, Troock, Butt and Dudek. Jack Combs will accompany the team but has not been medically cleared to play. Martinson also indicated no matter how things fall out today, the Americans will have a full lineup (16 skaters)  for the game tomorrow night. Martinson is also undergoing COVID testing.

DID YOU KNOW: Historically Allen has been very good when scoring the first goal of the game but not thus far this season. In most seasons the Americans have been above the league average which is around .750.  Here is Allen's points percentage and record (in parenthesis) when scoring first, since joining the ECHL in 2014.
