Hockey Fun Again for Colton Hargrove - A Story by Rick Gosselin

Every once in a while Allen Americans fans get the pleasure of a story from Hall of Fame writer Rick Gosselin who has been writing about sports for over 50 years including a 27 year career with the Dallas Morning News that ended in 2019. Over his career Rick has covered two summer and one winter Olympics, five world series, five NCAA Final Fours, NBA and Stanley Cup playoffs, MLB and NHL all-star games and a World Cup along with 37 Super Bowls. He is in the writers wing of the NFL Hall of Fame.

- Why is Gosselin writing stories about the Allen Americans? It is pure and simple, he loves the team and has for many years. It is not work but pleasure that gets Rick to Allen games and when he sees a compelling story he writes it for fun and to help market the team. With his national profile he has a big reach.

- Today's gem from Rick is about Colton Hargrove, the native Texan who had retired from hockey but through a series of events has become the captain of the Allen Americans and is having the best year and most fun in a long hockey career.
