The Allen Americans got the monkey of their back with a 6-4 win in Utah last night. The team was led by Easton Brodzinski's hat trick which included him scoring the first and last goal of the game. He scored unassisted 101 seconds after the opening puck drop and unassisted 25 seconds before the final buzzer. It was Brodzinski's second professional hat trick. His first was also in Utah, last December, in a 5-3 Allen win. The other great performance was by goalie Dylan Wells, who had a 40 save performance.
-The win doesn't mean the team has everything turned around, but any win on the road can be a step in the right direction. With this one win the Americans moved from last place in the ECHL in points to a tie for 25th. They still have a hole to dig out of, but last night was a small ray of light.
- Allen scored first early in the opening period and finally the odds worked in its favor. The Americans had scored first the last two games, but still lost. Last night the 75% odds of winning when scoring the first goal proved true.
- Allen scored three times in the first period on goals by Brodzinski, Watts and Crnkovic and took a 3-1 lead after the first period. Allen never trailed the rest of the game. A big part of the win was winning the special teams battle. Both teams had three power play opportunities after Utah had eight and Allen four in the Americans loss on Friday. Allen not only stayed out of the penalty box, the Americans were 2-3 on the power play while Utah was 1-3. The two power play goals were a first this season and the first power play goal in the last five games.
- One stat that sticks out is the shots. The official count was 44-22, but see the coach's comments below. The 44 shots led to four goals and four goals allowed is too many even though it is fewer than Allen's last place average goals allowed of 5.83 per game.
- Goal scorers for the Americans were Easton Brodzinski (3,4,5), Brayden Watts (2), Kyle Crnkovic (2) and Riley Ginnell (1). Here are the video highlights: https://echl.com/videos/allen-americans-vs-utah-grizzlies-nov-2-2024

COACH'S COMMENTS
I had the chance to ask coach Adams a few of questions after the game. Here is what he had to say:
Q: Are you concerned about the shot discrepancy?
A: No, I am not for two reasons, Utah throws a lot of pucks at the net and both nights we had a lot more shots than we were given credit for.
Q: You made some line changes tonight and scored six goals. Did you like what you saw from the line combinations?
A: The changes didn't last very long as we lost Duarte for the first two periods and had to change them up. We were able to go with the new lines after Duarte returned from the hospital in the third period. I thought the third period might have been our best period of the year.
Q: Any other thoughts on the team or players?
A: I challenged all of them to compete harder tonight and everyone did. Everyone who played tonight made a contribution and it was a great team win. Wells made some big saves for us and it is always great when a guy like Brodzinski gets a hat trick.
- The Americans are now off until Friday when they play at Wichita before traveling back to Allen for a game against Tulsa on Saturday. Wichita has won five straight games and plays again this afternoon in Rapid City.
BLOG COMMENTS
For those of you that have been following the blog for a long time you know I have always considered it a safe place for everyone to share their opinions about everything Allen Americans. The only posts I delete are personal attacks and even then I have let a lot go. Recently the comments have gotten out of hand and I feel compelled to make a few changes.
Impersonating someone else is not okay, even if it is done in jest. It is totally inappropriate and any posts with a member of the staff's name (whole or partial) as the author has been removed. Do not use somebody else's name as your author. This just started happening in the last few days and it has to stop.
The Allen Americans organization is divided into two parts, business operations and hockey operations. While there isn't a bright line between the two organizations they are run separately. Hockey operations is pretty much self explanatory, the on ice product. Business operations includes broadcasting, communications, fan engagement, marketing, sales, service and merchandising.
My blog has always been 95% about the on ice product. I have stayed away, for the most part, topics related to the business operations/front office. However, the comments on the blog have become more and more about the business operations side of the organization. I spend enough time researching, writing, interviewing, talking to sources, players, coaches and communicating with fans, I don't want to add hours as the comment police to my duties as it is no fun and a slippery slope.
Some have suggested to me I block those that make comments as anonymous, but I understand those that don't want their name out in the public. It does make it impossible to tell if certain comments are the view of many readers, or as I expect, a handful of anonymous authors are posting the majority of the anonymous comments. I don't plan on requiring an authors name of some type to post a comments. However, it would be nice if everyone created an author "handle" as some of you have done.
What I would ask is you keep your comments in the blog more about the on ice product than the business operations. At the end of September I asked team president, Jonny Mydra, about his willingness to answer any questions/suggestions you have. Though he is extremely busy dealing with the Zawyer transition and the loss of the Chief Operation Officer, he graciously agreed to have you email your questions directly to him. Thus far, since the end of September he has received no emails from this offer. Jonny is very responsive to emails so if you have a question/feedback and can't get the answer elsewhere, send Jonny an email at jm@allenamericans.com.
From this point forward, I will be deleting many more comments that relate to the business operations part of the organization (broadcasting, in game entertainment, team store, etc) If you have those issues and really want to solve problems, email Jonny Mydra.
I hope the blog comments can still be a place for an active dialogue about the on ice product, no matter your opinion. Thanks, Barry
DID YOU KNOW: ECHL Stats post today. FYI, Allen's record is 1-4-1-0 after six games. Last season after six games Allen's record was 2-4-0-0.
Thanks for all that you do Barry. This year is going to be tough to get through based on the start so far.
ReplyDeleteSo happy for the boys! Finally a win under their belts! They played very well. While I agree with what you’re saying, Business operations and hockey operations go hand in hand, they produce the products on the ice.
ReplyDeleteWe were lucky to win that. Utah should have beaten us by 2, if you discount the open goal.
ReplyDeleteBJ still needs to be held accountable.
He should still be fired.
I do agree with the open goal issue. But the team is starting to play better together. It shows BJ is making strides with the team. I do think they need to let Marco get into the rotation and sit Wells.
DeleteWells isn’t the problem. The defense in front of goal is. This direction and play is coming directly from BJ.
DeleteThe boys are playing great together and bonding as teammates, it has nothing to do with BJ.
DeleteThe AHL goalies have to play, so until one leaves Marco unfortunately won’t get it. I wish they would play him too.
BJ is a problem. If you can’t see that, then you aren’t seeing the entire picture.
DeleteBingo!
DeleteIt has everything to do with BJ. Your blind if you can't see that.
DeleteA great win indeed
ReplyDeleteIsn’t the blog representative of the Americans as a whole?
ReplyDeleteDid Tommy complain?
DeleteSo we can’t comment on the Jacks, Zawyer or relevant attachments to decisions that have decimated the on ice product and produced a OHL at best head coach and a video guy?
DeleteSeems like someone wasn’t happy and asked for censorship on business operations. That’s just utterly ridiculous.
Seeking names instead of Anonymity is outright ridiculous also. You haven’t needed that since inception. Fans are mad and this is a mechanism to vent.
DeleteBusiness operations are a train wreck as are hockey operations.
We should be able to comment and pass judgement.
So it’s ok to rip BJ and Ferg Baby, but we can’t rip LJ or Myles? There is no need to rip Jonny as his power was given to Zawyer. Can we rip Zawyer and Ernst?
DeleteAs for Tommy Daniels, I think he does a good job. But surely when the Flo mic isn’t working for 2/3 of a game there is basis for fans to vent a little?
The blog yesterday was the best I have ever seen. It was hysterically funny until the blog police arrived. I bet even Costy was laughing.
DeleteAgreed
DeleteYep, no comments as it relates to LJ, Myles, Tommy, Jonny, Game Day, Game Theme nights, Costello, Gens, Joe Ernst, Zawyer, the team store … who am I missing?
DeleteBarry, whilst treated as separate units, they are commingled. Additionally, decisions of one have systematically affected the other.
DeleteThe ownership group, which let’s face it is several more than just Myles and LJ, have ultimate control and decision making capabilities at both units.
The decisions have been a colossal mess since the bonehead decision to fire Costy was made. That was a Zawyer and Joe Ernst attachment, which had influence and decision making authority across both business and hockey units.
To try and segregate them as a convenience mechanism on the blog makes little sense.
It is not a direction you’ve taken historically, and you yourself have introduced business unit discussions multiple times.
To segregate them now and limit comment, opinion and judgement is a bad move.
Some fans will support the Americans regardless, that is obvious in the comments.
Other will support the team regardless, but are more passionate, knowledgable and share their thoughts and opinions. It’s OK to argue against the coach, ownership decisions, player trades, poor attendance or how crowds are reported etc.
It’s fine for the Cowboys, Mavs, Stars and Rangers, it outta be OK for the Americans.
To quote Costy, peace out!
If this is a blog for the hockey side, then there should be another blog or forum for the business side. Please let us all know when this is set up.
DeleteExactly true. But the horrible business decisions affect the on ice product. But no one steps up and takes the blame for the horrible decisions, they just quietly hide
ReplyDeleteBarry- Thanks for what you do. I enjoy the insights and especially updates on former players. It’s your blog and you have the right to set the conditions. People can start their own blogs if they feel they can’t follow simple requests.
ReplyDeleteHere we go….
Delete🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 - thanks Barry.
ReplyDeleteWay to go BroBro!!! Can we all throw hats on the ice next saturday during warm up?
Going back up on to my perch,
🙄👀 he’s risen….
DeleteLike I mentioned the other day, Utah is beatable, so I'm not impressed.
ReplyDelete😴
ReplyDeletegreat point Barry. No need for impersonation or nasty personal attacks against LJ.
ReplyDeletePersonal attacks?
DeleteWhat was ever personal?
LJ as the self claimed “owner” is responsible for decisions made.
Those include getting in bed with Zawyer, allowing Joe Ernst to influence things, fire Costello, hire an OHL coach… I can keep going.
Remember, she’s in bed with Zawyer with other teams. She didn’t terminate them, they terminated themselves. She ultimately owns decisions and has been remarkably quiet.
Nothing is personal.
Thank you for all you do Barry! I appreciate your insight, knowledge, etc. I hope everyone respects your wishes as this is your blog.
ReplyDeleteMaija - paying any attention to the hockey and how we got here?
DeleteYes, I'm paying attention to the hockey and how we got here...kinda hard to miss how awful the team is doing. Unfortunately it's living up (down?) to my expectations. I'm just trying to be respectful of Barry's wishes.
DeleteSo if a player gets arrested for soliciting prostitution, or any other felony, is that considered hockey operations or business operations?
ReplyDelete🤔
DeleteTHIS!!!!!!!!! Just turning a blind eye. Gross.
DeleteWhat a diabolical shit show LJ, BJ, Myles and Zwyer/Ernst are responsible for.
ReplyDeleteGood post and big win. It takes time for teams in any sport/league to adjust to a new system and it looks like the team is slowly improving. I agree with your comments regarding the tone of a few of the anonymous post. To one of the points of your email, I've sent 2 emails to team management and have only received 1 reply saying that they will look in to the subject of my email and get back to me. So basically they say what they want to say, but as I tell my kids all the time...actions speak louder that words, or no words.
ReplyDeleteIs this how we are going to have to make it phun?
ReplyDeleteI’ve got my name picked out
DeleteMe too!
DeleteWe’re collectively escalating Barry’s blood pressure.
DeleteBest I could come up with.
DeleteSorry about that
DeleteFull disclosure: I am not actually Tissue Boy’s Dog.
ReplyDeleteHockey isn’t just played on the ice—it’s also negotiated in boardrooms, and sometimes, that’s where the game’s toughest losses come from. Business operations and hockey operations are deeply intertwined, especially in a league where financial decisions can reshape a roster overnight. This season, we’re seeing it firsthand: the impacts of offseason decisions driven by the business side have dismantled the team we were all so invested in.
ReplyDeleteIt’s tough watching a team lose its core identity in the name of cost-cutting or long-term “planning.” For fans, it’s not just about profitability or the balance sheet—it’s about the pride we feel watching players who bleed for our team. But when business takes the reins too firmly, stripping away talent for numbers, the result can be a season that’s lost before it begins.
Yes, it’s important to run a smart, sustainable operation. But there’s got to be a balance, a sense of stewardship that preserves the soul of the team. Here’s hoping that in future seasons, those in charge find a way to harmonize the financial and the competitive—because at the end of the day, it’s those incredible, hard-fought games that fans are truly here for. Telling people they can’t talk about what happened here seems misguided.
Well said! How did you end up with an owner like that?
DeleteI buy his love in bacon and belly scratches.
DeleteThere are a lot of people on here who know a lot of different things. Surely one of you knows how to create a blog. So make a complaint blog and then you can all get together b1tch and feel powerful and happy. Sounds odd that you want Barry to change the conditions of his blog rather than make your own. Sounds almost like people are being too lazy
ReplyDeleteChange his blog?
DeleteAfter all these years now we can’t pass comment on the beyond messed up diabolical mess of a business side of the franchise?
Because someone got upset over arguably the funniest and most entertaining blog posts ever?
Seriously?
Puck off.
Here's an idea, if you like the blog and not all the comments....just read the blog. That would be perfectly lazy for you
DeleteI feel pretty happy and powerful without making my own blog - I see the title Comments and a link to reply I use it - When I start seeing a link that says Reply (Except Memphis Dave) I will heed your "opinion"
DeleteI understand why many are upset. But in some cases, some of the negative posts on here don’t even make a coherent argument . Not everyone, but some are basically I’m made this sucks, they suck, …… just very infantile. Again not all posts put some
ReplyDeleteIn all fairness. A lot sucks right now.
DeleteThat extends from ownership to on ice results (not the players)
I disagree - there are certain players here that would be better on an SPHL team to develop a bit. Thet's my nice way of saying they aren't cutting it here - go get better elsewhere
DeleteThanks for an example of the point I’m making. Really?? Puck off??? That’s funny, if we were 12yo
ReplyDeleteI am 12 yo
Deletelike saying b1tch is so mature, remember don't be infantile.
DeletePot Kettle
It was used as a verb
DeleteBack to Hockey Op talk, was anyone else struck by the coach’s comments regarding shots differential? Per Barry, “- One stat that sticks out is the shots. The official count was 44-22, but see the coach's comments below. The 44 shots led to four goals and four goals allowed is too many even though it is fewer than Allen's last place average goals allowed of 5.83 per game.”
ReplyDeleteWhen asked: “Are you concerned about the shot discrepancy?” BJ answered, “No, I am not for two reasons, Utah throws a lot of pucks at the net and both nights we had a lot more shots than we were given credit for. “
I feel that his answer is dismissive of the importance of SOG as a metric and also deflects his responsibility. If he is unconcerned about the shot differential, is he also unconcerned about possession/control, creating quality scoring opportunities, defensive effectiveness and long term success? ‘cuz those are the things that directly relate to SOG.
Agree 100%
DeleteHence the need for him to be replaced. OHL at best and let’s face it, he didn’t make it a full season there. Ownership needs to make decisions. Oh hang on, do they make hockey op decisions ? Or do they not give a flying f$&@ about that and the on ice product and cede control of that to Joe Ernst without regard to a thing?
Comedic shitshow.
His answers are very perplexing . I would ask him then what are you concerned about? Anything?
DeleteAre we allowed to discuss Biscuit and his lackluster efforts?
ReplyDeleteBiscuit falls under game day operations.
DeleteI believe that now is strictly prohibited.
But you are free to let everyone know how piss poor BJ Adams coaching is, how he should be fired immediately and how he is following his pathetic results in Erie.
You cannot however in any capacity talk about Biscuit.
You can hammer Ferguson, about how he is not a coach but a video guy.
You cannot however discuss anything to do with Zamboni's and the pattern by which they clean the ice, or the advertising on them, their color or how they operate.
You cannot question Zawyer, LaSonjia, Myles, Jonny, Tommy and that prick Joe Ernst.
They are a protected class and are a separate business unit.
Nothing to do with hockey or the on ice product.
So yeah, fricken hammer BJ. He needs to be fired.
Tommy is poop
ReplyDeleteYou CANNOT post any of this, I repeat, YOU CANNOT post any of this:
ReplyDeleteAnonymousNovember 2, 2024 at 3:46 PM
Tommy, what is your score prediction tonight?
Tommy DanielsNovember 2, 2024 at 4:02 PM
We're gonna lose bad yet again.
We gotta figure out how to leave BJ in Utah, I'll call Costy and work my magic. I need some time to plan this 3am departure thing from Utah without BJ. Thoughts, should I leave Ferguson here too? Let me know guys, I'll get this done.
I hear ya, and we need to fix this cause LJ wont.
I wont mention the blog tonight, I don't want too many eyes on Operation 3am. Lets do this!
AnonymousNovember 2, 2024 at 4:04 PM
We all know Costy blocked your number 🤣
BJ AdamsNovember 2, 2024 at 4:07 PM
Nice try Tommy
AnonymousNovember 2, 2024 at 4:07 PM
🤣🤣🤣
The Real Tommy DanielsNovember 2, 2024 at 4:10 PM
BJ it wasn't me.
Yes, I refresh the blog every 45 seconds from 6am to 11pm, but that truly wasn't me. How could I possibly do that? You guys left me in Allen. You told me be at the bus to DFW at 7am, you all left at 6am. We're friends BJ, I have your back.
BJ AdamsNovember 2, 2024 at 4:12 PM
Meet me at the 9th green at 9 & hey wear something nice
Chad CostelloNovember 2, 2024 at 4:18 PM
Guys, love this blog. Love the passion.
I can't say too much because these guys are drip feeding my salary.
Tommy - you caused me to change cell phones 9 times. Enough. You told me you had my back (so did Myles).
I can come back until LJ rolls the red carpet out from Allen to Iowa, apologizes on 100 commercials next Tuesday evening on all major networks, gives me an uncensored one on one with Barry, and finally ponies up equity with no capital contributions required for 10 years. I'm now a tax expert thanks to the blogs. I've thought about opening my own tax franchise.
Anyway, I agree regardless, BJ needs to go, so does that video guy.
Peace out.
Brett FergusonNovember 2, 2024 at 4:23 PM
OK. I've been concerned about all of the comments. I was posting as Tommy. I thought if BJ were left in Utah, then I'd finally get my dream coaching gig. Yeah, all I know is video, but c'mon, isn't that kinda Moneyball stuff? I love that movie.
Anyway, I'll fess up, that was me, and I just wanted feedback to see if you liked me or not. It was all a joke. I'm probably really fired now, surprisingly I haven't been fired because of my inability to coach on the bench or get a win.
Or Any of this, DO NOT POST:
DeleteJonny MydraNovember 2, 2024 at 4:26 PM
All of you in my office Monday morning at 8 am.
Jonny MydraNovember 2, 2024 at 4:27 PM
Chad come at 8:30
The Real Tommy DanielsNovember 2, 2024 at 4:29 PM
We may not have coaches tonight. I'm in Allen and not even on the road. Holy smoke, I could have coached tonight, handled comments during the breaks, oh boy, that would have been awesome. What I've worked 14 years for.
...... hello ..... test 123...... f%$& ..... this speaker auto dictate thing is on. Test 123....... $hit.........
Jonny MydraNovember 2, 2024 at 4:30 PM
Chad make it 9am.
I need to deal with Tommy at 8.30am.
LaSonjia "LJ" JackNovember 2, 2024 at 4:55 PM
Jonny, conference call at 7am. We have items to discuss including how we handle Joe Ernst, because he will find out quickly. Did Costello make huge demands? I wore his jersey to make him happy.
Kevin Sikes-GilbertNovember 2, 2024 at 5:40 PM
Miss me yet?
The Real Tommy DanielsNovember 2, 2024 at 6:22 PM
Kev baby!
Hope you’re killing it behind that desk in snowville. Yeah, I threw you under the bus, was the cause of 3 layer approvals, don’t know what I was doing, heck, I’ve winged this for 14 years and still manage to stumble around today. You working from home?
They dumped me from the road trips, I was bummed initially, but now I just door dash dinner, keep the flip flops on, an Americans jersey and well, not much else. Stay in touch buddy, I’ve been texting you but I guess you also changed numbers on me.
Jonny MydraNovember 2, 2024 at 6:25 PM
Kevin, please stay off these boards. I’m still mad you got out of this $hit show of a colossal train wreck before me. Let me know what NHL teams pay, I’ll take anything. This BJ guy has got this team to 0-5. We did what LJ told us to do with Costy. Any ideas how to get him back? This is a pucken mess. LJ is on book tour, Myles hasn’t been seen. Zawyer still runs things. 12 conf calls a day. F$&@ me. Talk soon. JM.
LaSonjia “LJ” JackNovember 2, 2024 at 6:27 PM
Boys, I still monitor these boards whilst I am driving the Bentley that Myles gave me. That and I have pucken Tommy blowing up my phone with texts and updates as to what is going on the boards.
Ferg BabyNovember 2, 2024 at 6:31 PM
Back again, changed my handle name. I’m just bummed I have to wear these barely fitting suits. Tommy gets to wear flip flops and a jersey. Any opposition to me wearing that tonight? Relax, it’s a road game. Gotta decide soon. Game is in 90 mins. I’m afraid to go near BJ until game time. Let me know.
Aaron GensNovember 2, 2024 at 6:32 PM
What did I miss?
Chad CostelloNovember 2, 2024 at 6:41 PM
Gensy, lots of commotion here. Our plan to buy the Americans when these donkeys liquidate and file BK is still in place. Let’s chat tmrw when these clowns have our team 0-6. Pucken OHL coach and a video guy, you still believe that?
DO NOT POST ANYTHING LIKE THIS.
ReplyDeleteAaron GensNovember 2, 2024 at 6:51 PM
Yes sir. Sounds like the blind leading the blind. We will get it straightened out. Need to get my one & only black suit ready. “Honey where is the lint roller?”
Jack GulatiNovember 2, 2024 at 6:54 PM
Hello everyone, the weather sure is nice in Florida. I really hope you’re all doing well. Tommy quit calling me 6 times a day. Yes I miss you too!
Chad CostelloNovember 2, 2024 at 6:57 PM
Not too fast, LJ may have her Bentley repo’d first. May take some time. They won’t like this. Yeah that black suit drove me nuts. But I guess it helped us to 2 finals series. These donkeys won’t get anything done this season. I got FloHockey set up. I say 5-1 Utah. #trainwreck
Steve MartinsonNovember 2, 2024 at 6:59 PM
What the hell is going on down there?!
LaSonjia “LJ” JackNovember 2, 2024 at 7:14 PM
Steve, I’m sorry for the 128 calls. I keep butt dialing you. Hope all is well. Yeah things are tough and rough. I’m resisting calls to fire our great coach BJ. Long story, Zawyer messed up, I messed up and Joe is a prick but I can’t say that to the Zawyer boys.
Chad - love you, go #13, hope you saw me wearing your jersey. Talk soon, hope you got my texts.
Joe "Little Napoleon" ErnstNovember 2, 2024 at 7:20 PM
Guys - you all need to settle down and let me take of all this. I really do know what I'm doing - I promise you
AnonymousNovember 2, 2024 at 7:36 PM
Are you on your soap box?
Chad CostelloNovember 2, 2024 at 7:43 PM
Gensy, did you think little Joe would chime in? Holy smokes, as we predicted, everyone is on these boards. Barry has turned off the anonymous setting.
Whilst we are at it, who would have thought LJ blowing up phones, Tommy left behind in Allen, even Jonny and Kev are posting, f&@$ even Gulati.
My kids are telling me I am trending.
We got this. They are going to be 0-10. Think we should ask LJ for a Bentley as our signing bonus?
GensyNovember 2, 2024 at 7:45 PM
Screw the Bentley, she can pay off my mortgage. You think we can get the boys back? I’m in. I still think we go as a package deal somewhere else for 2025 if LJ doesn’t cover the mortgage.
I can’t believe these clowns have messed this up. Myles lied. Big mistakes.
Ferg BabyNovember 2, 2024 at 7:50 PM
Ok. I couldn’t get a clear answer. Trying to wear this suit and shirt.
Let’s figure out this 3am plan. I have my phone but BJ won’t be dialed in as he leaves his phone in the locker room. He only gives a shot about his gum come game time. Keep me updated as to Tommy and his broadcast. Hopefully the pucken sound works tonight. I really wish I was in flip flops and a jersey. Go Red! I’ll eventually make it to the bench.
Myles JackNovember 2, 2024 at 7:54 PM
What the F$&@ did I drop $2m on?
This is a shitshow.
Mom, call me. I didn’t know we were 0-5. When is the next game?
The Real Tommy DanielsNovember 2, 2024 at 7:57 PM
Serious question.
Is my webcam on?
How do you guys know I have the aloe vera mask on and horsie PJ’s.
This is a data breach, cyber hack.
I’m meant to be on Flo.
Can you all see me?
I’ve had to put tape over the camera.

I’m also reaching out to Costy, even though I had to call and fire him for a gig if he lands somewhere.
Next week is damn Star Wars night. I’m sick of these theme nights.
LJ puts pressure on me to inflate crowd numbers, we print off fake tickets. Get me to a NHL franchise ASAP. I’ll give you a O’Reilly gold card for free McDonalds when you’re back in town. Please….

GensyNovember 2, 2024 at 8:14 PM
Costy, let’s figure he paid $2m large. It’s a mess, it’s probably worth, what… $400k now?
Any Vegas markets on the ECHL?
I figure if we keep doubling down on them losing we’ll have money to buy the team outright and working capital. I’ve learnt some things today.
Does this video guy even handle defense? Wtf is a video guy anyway? Whatever shit they dropped money on isn’t helping them.

DeleteCan’t we all just get along?
ReplyDeleteI love dogs - we are cool TBD - plus we both despise the hand that feeds you and craps all over this place...
DeleteApparently getting along is nowhere to be found here
ReplyDeleteI think the point has been made by all parties. The comments were beyond funny yesterday. Bravo to all those involved, very very funny. Let’s move forward, figure out a way to fire BJ Adams, bring Costello back and get 6000 to every home game.
ReplyDeleteBy 6000 do you mean a real 6000 or the announced attendance? I think if they got 2500+ in there they will announce 6000. If they had 6000 actually there they would announce 11,000 or 12,000
Delete6,000 truly sold tickets.
DeleteThere are many changes required to even get close to this on a regular basis, starting with significant changes in the “hockey ops” division.
Not sure I understand BJ's comments or thought process.
ReplyDeleteAllen has 13 Goals in 6 Games, 35 Against us.

I am speechless a coach would provide an answer the way he did.
He’s an idiot
DeleteMaybe Zawyer will be able to see it first hand when they all come in for Star Wars night.
Do you think they will let Joe drop the puck, like the bomb he dropped here?
Sure is.
DeleteWhat a moron.
Zawyer is really coming in for the StarWars game? What a comedic joke. Not to conflate or confuse Hockey ops and Business ops, but seeing Zawyer has their dirty filthy hands all over both, I am continually amazed, from my perspective, that ownership can’t make their own decisions and see what we all see.
For the record I was offended by personal attacks regarding the weight of individuals. I would like to see that stop. Thanks!
ReplyDelete“Barely fitting in his suit” … that comment? Seriously?
DeleteOur country has bigger problems than who will win or lose tmrw night if that’s the case.
I agree too
DeleteNot concerned Ernst was called “little” because of his height, or the fact he was called a “prick”, whilst all probably justified, that doesn’t matter, just the comment above?
DeleteHilarious. #absolutelynoidea
❄️
DeleteSnowflake calling someone a snowflake. Funny.
DeleteTB, you don’t learn do you? 🙄
DeleteDefending one of the dumbest comments made on the blog.
Delete“Offended by personal attacks regarding the weight of individuals” ….. just beyond ridiculous. What a lame and extremely shallow mindset which you clearly support.
Your posts have been nothing but supportive of ownership and the hockey ops side, you’ve continually been proven wrong, yet you come back and post the most random BS response to someone making the suggestion that their comment was weak and petty. Perhaps yours was exactly that.
Move on. Add value.
👍 agree
ReplyDeleteCommenting on your own post 🙄
DeleteNo that wa me commenting on another persons post. Are the voices in your head so loud you can no longer tell the difference?
DeleteTry hitting the reply button below the post, not starting a new comment. That might help identify what you comment on.
Delete^^^^ this
DeleteWhen you fire someone, like New Orleans did today, it is normally justified in some capacity, like losing 7 games straight.
ReplyDeleteOwnership comments the right way, and justifies the decision, despite being painful for them:
“Dennis has been part of our organization for many years. He is highly regarded within the NFL,” Saints owner Gayle Benson said in a statement. “He has been extremely loyal and professional and most importantly an excellent football coach for us. “All of this makes today very tough for me and our organization. However, this decision is something that I felt we needed to make at this time. I wish nothing but the best in the future for Dennis and his family. He will always be considered in the highest regard by me and everyone within our organization.”
Pure class.
What the hell happened with Costy?
This happened:
Delete“These are always difficult decisions, but this one was especially tough because of what Chad (Costello) and his family mean to the Allen Americans,” noted Americans Co-Owner LaSonjia Jack. “We wish Chad the best and we're excited to begin the search for our next coach.”
Then this:
“We are very excited to have B.J. Adams as our new Head Coach,” said Americans Owner La Sonjia Jack. “He is a great fit for our players, the community, and our organization. Adams comes with a breadth of experience, from his playing history and years as a fearless coach. Here’s to chasing victories and crafting champions together!”
How’s that all working out down there in Allen with BJ?
DeleteLMFAO.
😁😆😁😆
Will you consider a trade?
DeleteBJ, Ferguson and considerable cash considerations.
We don't need anything in return.
Yes but that’s big business major sport process. This is lower tier minor leagues. Of course I know to some of you this is the be all and end all. Not directing that at players as this is your livelihood and it makes sense that you would be Uber concerned.
ReplyDeleteBarry- great work as always…now…some advice for you…don’t let those knuckleheads push you around…nothing worse then “leaders” who can’t take social criticism and I would hope they would be more interested in fixing this mess than comments about the organization on some blog that has no bearing on their decision making…I mean if you sit around in your own shit and don't do anything about it…guess what…it’s still shit only it smells worse than before…this smell is hard to ignore from top to the bottom…see what I did there😳🤣😳
ReplyDeleteOnce again...sorry if our thoughts and feelings about this team offend you. I will point out you are doing the exact same thing my friend. You just have the opposite view point. Guess what? You are welcome to disagree with everyone on here expressing their frustrations and although I disagree with you I'm not going to bash you for venting. How about extending that same courtesy to us
DeleteLet’s just agree that:
ReplyDelete1. Our ownership has made mistakes
2. Zawyer and Ernst are pathetic
3. BJ is clueless (we can criticize hockey ops) and can’t even get his words right regarding SOG. He should be fired.
4. We all have differing levels of opinion on the above.
Now, let’s keep bashing the hockey ops. That’s allowed. I think BJ needs to go. Can we send him to Rapid City? 😁 have a sense of humor folks.
Rapid City? Gosh, we're doing so well on our own.
DeleteAny attempt to move him out of here would be good.
DeleteChad is not coming back, move on. How long are people going to keep asking for it? Chad is not going to come back to save an owner who fired him. Should Chad have been fired, no, but he is not coming back.
ReplyDelete👍
DeleteNever say never..
Delete^^^ What do you know, anon??
DeleteIt will be requested until BJ is replaced or fired. Heck, it will in all likelihood continue beyond that.
DeleteWhen will you stop posting that Costy won’t come back? Are you Costy? Or are you just guessing and making a wild guess or assumption?
Time to fire BJ and bring Costello back!
You know people still talk and want Marty back too....
Deleteuntil we get a new coach people will want anyone else
Time to fire BJ.
DeleteCan we please bring back Costy?
Can we PLEASE bring Costello back?
DeleteOwnership, PLEASE make good hockey decisions.
Let's not pass the buck and deflect to others, that have clearly shown a gross lack of competency.
If a coach is 1-5, should be 0-6, doesn't see a concern with SOG (see below from another poster), how the hell is he still in a job?
DeleteAllen has been decimated in SOG this season.
Allen has 13 Goals in 6 Games, 35 Against us.
We are 15.8% on the power play.
We have been outplayed SOG 245 to 138 (Allen).
23-37 v Tulsa.
16-38 v KC
18-51 v KC (34-89 in the Kansas 2 game series)
33-35 v Wichita
26-40 Utah
22-44 Utah (48-84 in the Utah 2 game series)
This is not in-depth hockey stuff, this is hockey basics.
We are failing. Not to degrade SPHL or FPHL coaches, but I am not even sure at that level do they have a misguided understanding of basic offense and SOG.
The are ownership going to get it? Wait a season of pathetic results? Speaks volumes to what was seen preseason.
BJ's way or the highway.
how's that working out?
This guy needs a one way bus ticket out of Allen.
