- If you look at the team stats above, it is no surprise the Americans biggest issue is defensively, but there has been improvement recently. Since the end of January (18 games) the Americans average goals allowed is 2.78, which is very good.

- Here is the Allen Americans Weekly with even more stats and information: https://allenamericans.com/media/americans-weekly-27/

DID YOU KNOW: The ECHL Stats post today is about attendance. Allen's average attendance in 2018-19 was 4073 and ranked #17. This season Allen's average attendance is 3112 and is ranked #19. While the Americans attendance is down from the last pre-covid season, it is not down as much as many other ECHL teams.

Hats off to the only four ECHL teams with a higher average attendance this season than in 2018-19 (pre-covid). The number in parenthesis is the team’s 2018-19 average attendance:

6227: Jacksonville (5993)
4960: Idaho (4539)
3342: Rapid City (2897)
3366: Kalamazoo (2720)

At the other end of the spectrum, there are nine teams averaging more than 1000 below 2018-19, including three (Kansas City, Newfoundland, Wichita) averaging more than 2000 less than 2018-19.

  1. Allen attendance is down over 1,000 per game from the previous 6 year average of 4194 (excluding Covid shortened year). In order to meet that average attendance for the remaining 10 home games would need to be over 7,000. To average 4,000 for the year, the remaining 10 games would need an average of 6,300.
    Why we have stopped attending:
    Poor customer service.
Cost has gone from $13.50 a ticket to around $25 plus service fees
    Service fees to use Ticketmaster.
Hate using the not user friendly Allen Account Manager.
Hate being required to make a decision in February for upcoming season. (Ploy to sell the team?)
Tired of hearing "This is the best team ever assembled" only to put a mediocre product on the ice.
And there is more, but just comes down to not fun anymore.

    1. These reasons we will not renew 2022-2023 after we have been season ticket holders since day one.

  2. Think we have a better relationship with account managers for other teams for away tickets than we do in Allen if that says anything.

  3. Our retired players banners were taken down and have not been rehung! President of the organization places blame totally on City of Allen!! Not true. Poor leadership at top level and dishonest employees from President on down is not what the team needs. Won’t renew until they are gone and Steve is given another contract, if he even wants to stay.
